Job summary

Piedmont Rockdale Hospital is seeking a phlebotomist to process samples, perform venipunctures, and support non-clinical tasks within a regulated clinical laboratory setting. The role supports CMS CLIA guidelines and Piedmont procedures.

Qualifications include a HS diploma or GED, no experience required with 1 year preferred, and EKG experience preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position with opportunities for growth within Piedmont's Georgia network.

Qualifications

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 3:00 a.m. - 7:30 a.m., with rotating weekends and holidays

Responsibilities:

Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable regulatory, established standards as may be applicable. Performs venipunctures at entities where applicable, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures. Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.

Qualifications:

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required

Work Experience

• No experience required Required
• 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist Preferred
• Experience in performing EKGs Preferred
• Experience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• CPT - Phlebotomy Technician Certification Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency Preferred
