Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Lab Tech Assistant for the Lima Medical Office Building. The role entails preparing specimens, registering orders, verifying specimen acceptability, and performing pre-analytical and analytical procedures, including phlebotomy and specimen collection to ensure proper processing.

Responsibilities include inventory maintenance, stocking supplies, handling waived testing, and slide preparation in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED is required.
• Associates in Biology or Chemistry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and community with excellent customer service.
• Collect blood specimens using venipuncture per established procedures.
• Assist technologists with instruments, reagents, and blood products.
• Identify instrument issues and communicate problems to the team.
• Perform basic clerical duties such as inventory checks and phone coverage.
