Eastside Medical Center is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform venipunctures, process blood specimens, and support the clinical laboratory under supervision. The role emphasizes accuracy, adherence to regulatory standards, and collaboration with licensed staff.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and prefer 1 year of phlebotomy experience, with familiarity in healthcare or clinical lab environments.

Responsibilities:

Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable regulatory, established standards as may be applicable. Performs venipunctures, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures. Assists with both clinical and non-clinical tasks while working under the direct supervision of a licensed medical technologist/ technician to ensure that accurate, reliable results are generated by the laboratory.

Qualifications:

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required

Work Experience

• 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist Preferred
• Experience in performing EKGs Preferred
• Experience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting Preferred
