Piedmont Columbus Midtown is seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist to join our laboratory team. You will perform venipunctures and badge specimen collection, preparing samples for testing under the supervision of a licensed technologist.

In this role you will support both clinical and non-clinical tasks while adhering to CMS CLIA '88, OSHA and Piedmont policies to ensure accurate, reliable results.

Formación

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist, laboratory processor, or laboratory assistant required, or no experience required if enrolled in a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician program.

Responsabilidades

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests under CMS CLIA '88 and Piedmont policies.
• Performs venipunctures and prepares blood specimens for testing.
• Assists with both clinical and non-clinical tasks under supervision to ensure accurate results.

Responsibilities:

Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable regulatory, established standards as may be applicable. Performs venipunctures, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures. Assists with both clinical and non-clinical tasks while working under the direct supervision of a licensed medical technologist/ technician to ensure that accurate, reliable results are generated by the laboratory.

Qualifications:

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required

Work Experience

• 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist, laboratory processor, or laboratory assistant. Required or
• No experience required Current enrollment in a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician program may be substituted for experience Required
