Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown is hiring a phlebotomist to join its laboratory team in Georgia. The person will perform sample processing, venipunctures, and related testing under supervision to ensure accurate results.

Education required is a high school diploma or GED, with 1 year of laboratory experience preferred or enrollment in a medical technologist/MLT program as a substitute. No licenses required. This role supports regulatory compliance and quality in the lab.

Qualifications

Responsibilities:

Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable regulatory, established standards as may be applicable. Performs venipunctures, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures. Assists with both clinical and non-clinical tasks while working under the direct supervision of a licensed medical technologist/ technician to ensure that accurate, reliable results are generated by the laboratory.

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required

Work Experience

• 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist, laboratory processor, or laboratory assistant. Required or
• No experience required Current enrollment in a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician program may be substituted for experience Required
