Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Baccalaureate degree in medical technology, biology, chemistry, or related science required.
• Minimum Work Experience: One year clinical laboratory internship required.
• Certifications: ASCP, AMT, and/or NCA preferred or eligible.
• Mathematical, computer, reasoning, and language skills at the college level required.

Responsibilities

• Practices clinical laboratory science according to CAP, CLIA ’88, JCAHO, AABB and other regulatory standards.
• Actively participates in policy and procedure updates.
• Monitors quality control data and instrument maintenance.
• Supports process to measure performance and improvement in areas of responsibility.
• Performs clinical laboratory procedures in assigned areas to optimize efficiency and quality.
