Job summary

The ideal candidate has a BS in Medical Technology or an AS with 10 years of experience, and must obtain CLS certification within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• Training included at least 12 months in a structured hospital internship.
• Must demonstrate compliance with the Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
• Education/licensure includes BS in Medical Technology or AS with 10 years of experience; CLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Certification Maintenance Program participation required every 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Receive and analyze laboratory specimens and report results in a timely manner.
• Perform duties requiring technical and professional judgment.
• Participate in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, maintenance and safety programs.
• Maintain parts, reagents and supplies in assigned areas.
• Evaluate and write procedures for new methods; participate in teaching and continuing education.
• Engage in supervisory and other organizational activities as needed.
• Perform other related duties with minimal supervision.
