Physics Laboratories Manager

Dillard University, classified by the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education as a balanced arts and sciences/profession institution located in the culturally rich and diverse city of New Orleans, Louisiana, announces the following summer lab tech position in LAMS center/ the physics and pre-engineering department at the College of Arts and Sciences for the summer 2025.

This position is a two-month appointment and required a PhD degree in physics.

• prepare the experiments
• mentor the summer REU students
• familiar with characterization equipment like XRF, XRD, AFM, SEM, 4 points thin film measurements and the work related to PLD systems
• maintain a labs inventory
• keep the labs on up-to-date materials request/supplies during this period
• other work which may be assigned by the center director
