Job summary

The Laboratory Support Technician (LST III) at Mercy is part of the provider care team supporting reports, data and scheduling within the laboratory. The role emphasizes accurate, timely laboratory support and excellent customer service in accordance with Mercy Signature Service Standards.

You will collect specimens, process and refer laboratory reports, assist technologists, and ensure HIPAA confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year phlebotomy or clinical laboratory experience.
• Mercy LST II designation or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Acquire specimens for laboratory testing using safe, accurate methods.
• Process, transport and refer laboratory specimens and reports.
• Assist technologists with test methods as required.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and comply with lab policies.
