Job summary

Three Saints Bay, LLC is hiring a Laboratory Support Technician in Jamaica, NY to support a federally contracted lab team. The role involves following SOPs, handling lab materials safely, sterilizing media and glassware, and preparing samples for analysis.

The candidate must be a US citizen with security checks, and have at least 6 months of lab or related experience in a structured environment. The position requires the ability to lift 25–30 lbs, stand for extended periods, and follow written

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen required.
• Background checks (pre-employment and Public Trust).
• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 6 months of laboratory/industrial experience.
• Ability to follow written procedures and safety protocols.
• Ability to lift 25–30 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Basic familiarity with cleaning, sanitizing, or handling laboratory glassware.
• Ability to use simple measurement or monitoring tools.
• OSHA 10-hour General Industry certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Follow laboratory quality, safety, and SOPs and handle materials, equipment, and samples safely.
• Weigh, mix, adjust pH, heat, label, and sterilize media, reagents, and solutions as per procedures.
• Operate autoclaves to sterilize media, containers, and waste.
• Prepare samples for microbiological, chemical, and sensory analysis using appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Wash and sterilize laboratory glassware.
• Collect and transport contaminated materials for disposal safely.
• Maintain cleanliness of laboratory areas and perform routine safety checks (eyewash, showers).
• Perform temperature mapping and assist with equipment verification.
