Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Lab Support Technician I (PRN) to support reports, data and scheduling in the laboratory. You will perform specimen collection, processing, transport, and referrals while upholding HIPAA confidentiality and Mercy Service Standards.

As a PRN role, flexibility across shifts is required, with a focus on accurate, timely lab support and strong customer service for internal and external customers helping to advance Mercy's mission.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; enrollment in a healthcare career program is welcome.
• No active disciplinary actions or active performance improvement plans.
• Successful completion of probationary period

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate, timely laboratory support as part of the provider care team.
• Acquire laboratory specimens for testing using safe, professional methods.
• Handle processing, transport and referral of specimens and reports as required.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and adhere to lab policies.
• Deliver excellent customer service in internal and external interactions.
