Job Description

Saint Luke’s South is seeking a Phlebotomist / Lab Support Technician to join our lab team. In this role, you will perform blood draws and process specimens. Our lab is a multidisciplinary, collaborative environment with diverse backgrounds and experience levels, committed to our vision of being “The best place to get care. The best place to give care.”

Shifts:

• Full-time Days
• Monday - Friday (8am-4:30pm)
• Rotating Saturdays (8am-12pm) at Mission Farms

Responsibilities:

• Collect patient samples in accordance with laboratory policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Document receipt of patient samples in the LIS/EMR; process and prepare samples for testing.
• Perform and report basic laboratory testing as needed.
• Use education and experience to identify and resolve patient circumstances that might interfere with accurate sample collection.
• Communicate effectively with nursing and unit staff regarding patient collections.

Procedures may vary depending on hospital location.

We seek a confident, patient-focused, positive professional willing to go above and beyond for patients and peers. Phlebotomy experience is preferred but not required. Ideal candidates enjoy multitasking, staying busy, and adapting to rapidly changing laboratory workflows.
