Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Laboratory Support Technician (LST II) to join the provider care team. This role supports reports, data, and scheduling within the laboratory and must demonstrate strong customer service.

The LST II will collect specimens, follow approved methods, and uphold HIPAA and Mercy policies. The position requires a high school diploma and at least 6 months of phlebotomy or clinical laboratory experience, plus completion of facility competencies for advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 6 months phlebotomy or clinical laboratory experience.
• Must satisfactorily complete facility competencies to be eligible for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and accurate laboratory support for reports, data and scheduling.
• Skillfully acquire specimens for laboratory testing following safe, accurate, and professional methodologies.
• Exhibit excellent customer service in line with Mercy Signature Service Standards.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and comply with lab policies.
