Job summary

Responsibilities

• Process and orders patient/physician orders according to procedure manual.
• Answer phones in a friendly voice; route calls as needed.
• Communicate with satellite labs and drawing stations about orders and specimen requirements.
• Train and guide new laboratory associates.
• Direct phlebotomy team for STAT collections.
• Prepare, sort, and deliver patient reports to physician office boxes.
• Fax reports to physicians' offices; relay critical values as needed.
• Receive specimens into Lab Computer System and deliver to appropriate department.
