Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Degree or equivalent.
• Minimum six months of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
• 1 year of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, collect, log and label specimens for testing.
• Register patient information and order tests in the system.
• Arrange specimens for processing by Laboratory staff.
• Orient and train Lab Processing Tech and Phlebotomy students.
• Coordinate staff continuing education and develop procedures.
• Performs Lab Processing Tech duties, including phlebotomy.
• Mentor staff and participate in quality improvement activities.
