Quest Diagnostics Incorporated is seeking a Lab Supervisor in Erie, PA to lead a multi-department hematology, chemistry, and endocrinology team. The role emphasizes operational planning, staffing, and adherence to quality standards, with a strong focus on leadership and regulatory compliance.

The candidate will supervise test procedures, ensure timely reporting, and drive process improvements while mentoring staff and overseeing safety, equipment, and data systems in a high-volume clinical lab.

Qualifikationen

• Six (6) years full-time experience as a medical technologist or equivalent in a clinical laboratory.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology (Required); another related degree acceptable as listed.
• ASCP Certification preferred.

Aufgaben

• Oversee activities of the department, distribute/assign work, determine priorities, schedule non-routine procedures.
• Perform supervisory functions for assigned staff including interviewing, hiring, training and providing staff development through performance evaluation and corrective counseling.
• Perform advanced/specialized tests and related laboratory techniques; re-evaluate methodology and assist in test interpretation.
• Check/approve all specialized and problem reports for accuracy.
• Initiate quality-control measures and monitor quality of work for adherence to laboratory standards.
• Perform duties of technologist as necessitated by absence or peak workload.
• Complete training and competency checklists; adhere to CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA requirements.
