Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science field.
• 4+ years of clinical laboratory experience.
• ASCP certification.
• New York State License.
• Specialized knowledge of electrophoresis and ANA testing.
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise approximately 25 staff, including scheduling, daily huddles, and ongoing staff development.
• Coach, mentor, and grow your team, building a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Stay visible and engaged on the floor, supporting staff through day-to-day operations.
• Oversee quality assurance oversight for the department.
• Oversee quality control of automated processes.
• Ensure maintenance and performance of laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
• Apply electrophoresis and ANA expertise to troubleshoot issues and guide decisions.
• Communicate complex technical information to physicians and clients clearly.
• Meet and exceed customer expectations.
