Job summary

Eurofins Viracor LLC in Lenexa, KS is seeking a Laboratory Specimen Processor to accession and enter data with accuracy in a fast-paced clinical laboratory. You will work closely with lab staff to move specimens through the processing workflow.

The role requires a high school diploma, strong data entry and typing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work evenings or weekends. Eurofins offers full-time benefits including medical, dental and 401(k).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Specimen processing in a clinical laboratory setting or equivalent experience preferred.
• Must be comfortable with raw specimen handling.
• Typing test with minimum 30 words per minute.
• Ability to read, interpret and follow SOPs, maintenance instructions and policies.
• Evening and weekend hours may be required.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Keen attention to detail and ability to keep information confidential.
• Proficiency with PC software and databases; 1 year of data entry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform data entry using LIMS or other specimen tracking systems.
• Examine samples for type, stability and volume.
• Label samples for delivery to appropriate areas.
• Use and maintain sample storage materials (e.g., dry ice).
• Resolve patient demographic issues or discrepancies with internal or external contacts.
• Complete correction requests as needed.
• Maintain quality control and QA records.
• Adhere to safety and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with lab staff to complete daily tasks efficiently.
• Provide administrative support for lab projects.
• Represent department and company professionally.
• Adhere to SOPs and data management policies.
• Attend to other duties as assigned.
