Job summary

Eurofins Viracor LLC is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to support accessioning, specimen management and data entry in a fast-paced diagnostic lab in Lenexa, KS. The role involves ensuring accurate sample handling, documentation and storage in compliance with quality standards.

You'll work with a collaborative team, perform basic QA tasks, and assist with shipping and logistics for tested samples, with potential evening/weekend hours as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of clinical laboratory experience preferred.
• Comfortable with raw specimen handling.
• Able to read and follow SOPs and policies.
• May require evening or weekend hours.
• 1 year data entry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming shipments and document appropriately.
• Examine samples for accuracy and requirements.
• Contact client to resolve issues.
• Perform data entry into LIMS.
• Label samples and deliver to proper areas.
• Store specimens for short and long term storage.
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Assist with daily activities and communicate with team.
