Job summary

Labcorp in Troy, MI is seeking a Specimen Accessioner/Processor to join our Specimen Processing and Accessioning team. You will prepare specimens, unpack and route them, label accurately, and manage data entry to support high-volume workflows.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent; preferred candidates have 2+ years in medical or production environments. You’ll work Monday–Friday 10:00am–6:00pm with rotating weekends, and must be comfortable handling biological specimens and

• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples.
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Resolve and document any problem specimens.

LabCorp is seeking a Specimen Accessioner/Processor to join our Specimen Processing and Accessioning team in Troy, MI.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 10:00am - 6:00pm. Rotating weekends, 12:00pm - 8:30pm.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas
• Accurately identify and label specimens
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities
• Meet department activity and production goals
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Resolve and document any problem specimens

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years or more of experience in a medical or production environment

Additional Job Standards

• Comfortable handling biological specimens
• Ability to accurately identify specimens
• Experience working in a team environment
• Strong data entry and organizational skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Proficient in MS Office
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
