Job summary

Responsibilities

• Label and verify specimens for testing.
• Enter and verify test requests in the lab's computer system.
• Answer and screen telephone calls.
• Assist with specimen handling, storage and transport.
• Process specimens for testing, including aliquoting, while maintaining proper identification.
• Review reports and generate/distribute them.
• Assist with inventory and ordering of supplies.
• Maintain and file copies of orders, reports and correspondence.
• Train new employees.
