An established industry player is seeking a Lab Specialist Intermediate to engage in complex lab research and projects. This role requires a Bachelor's degree and 4 years of experience, with opportunities to supervise personnel and manage budgets. The successful candidate will work closely with Post Docs, assisting in various laboratory techniques such as PCR, Western blot, and cell culture. Lab Specialist Intermediate employees engage in laboratory research by performing complex lab and research related tasks. They are distinguished from Lab Specialist employees by their additional responsibilities related to developing, designing, and conducting increasingly complex research projects. They perform complex tasks independently. They have the authority to adapt methods and procedures to meet the needs of research. They may supervise support personnel and manage budgets.
Work closely with Post Docs and their research experiments. Assist with PCR, Western blot, cell culture and animal genotyping.
Education: Bachelor's degree.
Experience: 4 years of experience. Master's degree may substitute for required experience. 8 years of lab-related experience accepted in lieu of degree.

This position can spend extensive periods of time standing and squatting while conducting experiments or caring for animals. Also requires keyboarding and other bench work and animal procedures requiring finer finger manipulation.
