Job summary

Job Description

This position is responsible for performing physical and visual inspections of product and plant systems, sample collection and preparation, documenting and calculating results accurately; taking corrective action when necessary (alert appropriate personnel to adjust process; identify, segregate, & isolate non-conforming product) and report results to management; routine equipment cleaning and diagnostics; any additional assignments requested. All team members are responsible for safety. This includes but is not limited to personal safety and food safety.

REQUIREMENTS

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience : Minimum of 1 year experience in the food industry and prior QA experience preferred.
• Communication Skills : Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Special Skills : Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork; ability to lead by example and communicate with the hourly workforce; good problem identification and problem-solving skills; math and organizational skills; ability to read and interpret product specifications; must function well under stress; must have flexibility to work where and when needed including possibly of working different shifts.
• Physical Requirements : Position involved standing for 8 plus hours per day, walking and occasionally lifting up to 30 pounds more).

This position is based at our Hutchinson, KS facility and is currently being considered for local candidates only.

WORKING HOURS

• Wednesday - Friday 1:30 PM - 11:30 PM
• Saturday 11AM-9PM (Weekends as needed)
