Job summary

Quantinuum in Broomfield, CO seeks a Software Engineer I - Lab to develop lab supervisory control and real-time program execution software, designing, testing, integrating, and supporting software used in engineering laboratory environments while collaborating with software leads and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include lab control, data acquisition, and real-time embedded software; hardware integration, unit tests, and CI/CD; and contributing to code reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree minimum.
• 2+ years of experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Quantum Information Science, or related field.
• U.S. Person due to contractual requirements (citizen, permanent resident, green card, asylum or refugee status).
• Due to national security requirements, not a PRC or Russian national unless also a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain lab control, data acquisition, and/or real-time embedded software.
• Integrate software with laboratory hardware, sensors, controllers, and related systems.
• Develop unit tests and support integration through CI/CD toolchains.
• Collaborate with software leads to define requirements and execute core projects.
• Debug, profile, document, and support deployed software.
• Contribute to code reviews and continuous improvement of development practices.
