Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience
• Proficiency in Python
• Familiarity with C++
• Experience with one or more relational database systems
• Solid understanding of core computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, architectures)
• Familiarity with scientific test instrumentation and communication protocols (e.g., VISA, TCP/IP)

Responsibilities

• Develop software for execution of complex experiment sequences, measurements, and calibrations
• Develop device drivers for custom hardware and scientific instruments
• Collaborate with experimental physicists to translate requirements into software
• Collaborate with data engineers to organize and store quantum device data
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in programming, version control, CI/CD, and documentation
