University of Missouri Health Care seeks a dynamic Supervisor of Laboratory Services to lead a fast-paced team in the AP Green Laboratory Building. You will oversee staff, ensure quality control, and maintain regulatory compliance while driving a culture of collaboration and growth.

The role emphasizes leadership, problem-solving for specialized equipment, and development of staff in a world-class academic health system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biological or physical sciences or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise technical support staff and students performing laboratory tests.
• Coordinate quality control procedures and scheduling in the lab.
• Oversee maintenance of lab equipment, supplies, and hazardous materials handling.
• Troubleshoot specialized lab equipment and perform limited maintenance.
• Perform complex procedures and routine tests as needed.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
• Instruct and supervise students rotating through the lab.
• Interview, hire, train, and evaluate support staff.
• Develop and maintain staffing schedules for unit coverage.
• Monitor time and attendance per MU Health Care policies.
