Job summary

Halifax Health in Daytona Beach, FL seeks a Lab Section Supervisor - Point of Care (POC) to assist the Manager of the Laboratory by providing technical and administrative supervision over testing across multiple sections for patients of all ages.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Medical Technology or related science, 3–5 years of clinical lab experience, and 1–2 years of supervisory experience, plus Florida licensure and ASCP certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related science required.
• 3-5 years clinical laboratory experience required.
• 1-2 years supervisory or management experience required.
• Florida Medical Technologist or supervisor license required.
• ASCP or equivalent certification required.
• Must be skilled in testing for newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and administrative supervision over testing in multiple lab sections.
• Assist the Lab Manager to ensure smooth operation of the Laboratory.
• Oversee testing for newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients across Blood Bank, Chemistry, Hematology, Serology, Coagulation, Urinalysis or Microbiology.
