Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a Lab Receiving Associate for our client's Sample Custody Department in Norwood, MA. Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am-4:30pm; Pay Rate: $20/hr, based on experience.

Responsibilities include receiving and unloading samples, logging in LIMS, labeling and routing, maintaining safety and cleanliness, inventory stocking, and ensuring proper disposal of hazardous materials.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Strong organizational and attention to detail.
• Prior experience in a medical, clinical, or environmental lab is a plus.
• Proficient with LIMS software.
• Good math skills and teamwork abilities.
• Clear communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to operate warehouse equipment and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Receive and unload incoming samples or consignments.
• Verify documents and resolve discrepancies.
• Log samples in Lab Management System and assign lot numbers.
• Label, deliver samples to appropriate departments daily.
• Dispose of spent samples and hazardous materials per SOP.
• Monitor freezer/cooler temperatures daily per SOP.
• Keep the department clean and organized for safe operations.
• Stock and supply inventory; assist with inventory.
• Conduct client communications professionally.
• Perform splits/composites as needed; prepare bottle kits.
• Ship empty coolers back to clients and Eurofins labs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
