Job summary

ALS is hiring an Aliquot Technician in the Metals Department. The role involves aliquoting samples, following management platform procedures, transporting specimens, and ensuring accurate documentation.

The candidate must adhere to SOPs, QA guidelines, and HSE policies while maintaining safety and accuracy in a fast-paced lab environment. We seek individuals who can stand for a full 8-hour shift, lift up to 50 lbs, and communicate clearly with staff and clients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and handle glassware.
• Read reports and operate equipment.
• Follow PPE policies and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Transport samples to appropriate storage locations and dispose of expired samples.
• Perform analytical tests including turbidity and pH verification.
• Aliquot samples for various methodologies and interpret results.
• Complete and interpret Chain of Custodies (COCs).
• Document activities concisely and report results.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, QA manual, and HSE policies.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow safety procedures.
