Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Massachusetts General Hospital is seeking a highly organized Research Operations Coordinator to support day-to-day operations for investigators in the Center for Integrated Solutions for Infectious Disease. You will coordinate people and processes, maintain operational details, and ensure follow-up does not get lost.

Working with faculty, senior scientists, and an internal operations leader, you will manage multiple activities across laboratory ops, including

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and an Associate's degree in a related field.
• 3-5 years of project support or administrative experience.
• Ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including strong presentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, including on tight deadlines.
• Basic financial/accounting skills.
• Knowledge of basic business administrative principles and project management best practices.
• Competency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of file management and other administrative procedures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate people and processes, and keep follow-up from falling through.
• Manage multiple recurring and project-based activities across laboratory operations.
• Documentation, purchasing and inventory support, equipment and vendor follow-up.
• Onboarding and cross-team communication across scientific and institutional teams.
• Support day-to-day operations for investigators in the Center for Integrated Solutions for Infectious Disease.
• Collaborate with faculty, senior scientists, and an internal operations leader to ensure smooth operations.
