Job summary

Merieux NutriSciences in Salt Lake City is seeking a Sample Receiving Technician to log, identify, and prepare samples for analysis in a fast-paced laboratory.

You will enter data into the LIMS, verify client information, and coordinate with clients to resolve missing or unclear details while ensuring sample integrity and proper documentation. The role supports quality processes and may involve reporting development.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or 1+ year relevant work experience; or a Bachelor's degree.
• Basic computer operation skills to enter data into the LIMS.
• Basic knowledge of microbiology and chemistry is helpful.
• Strong written and oral communication to obtain or clarify test instructions.

Responsibilities

• Receive and log in samples for analysis.
• Enter client and sample data into the LIMS.
• Coordinate with clients to obtain missing information.
• Prepare samples for shipping and maintain documentation.
• Ensure sample integrity and proper storage.
• Support quality and continual improvement processes.
• Identify departures from the quality system per procedures.
• Assist with client reports and related duties as needed.
