Job Summary

The Laboratory Production Technician is responsible for producing in-vitro medical diagnostic products following manufacturing directions, SOPs, GMPs, and QSR to meet quality standards on schedule and at or below standard costs. The role involves identifying opportunities for process improvements, collaborating with various departments to ensure product quality and availability.

Key Duties
  1. Maintain accurate records according to SOPs and cGMP.
  2. Read, understand, and comply with GMPs and SOPs.
  3. Apply aseptic techniques correctly.
  4. Interpret detailed production procedures.
  5. Adhere to OSHA and Quality system requirements.
  6. Complete documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
  7. Record observations and complete necessary documentation.
  8. Audit paperwork daily for accuracy.
  9. Identify deviations and notify supervisors.
  10. Improve procedures and products; ensure supply of materials.
  11. Perform technical procedures like preparing buffers/reagents.
  12. Set up and interpret in-process testing, troubleshoot results.
  13. Support laboratory functions, monitor and requisition raw materials.
  14. Complete incoming testing analysis for components.
  15. Assist in dispensing, packaging, and inspecting reagents in Molecular department.
  16. Operate and maintain cleanroom equipment.
  17. Handle protein purification in the Purification department.
  18. Perform calibrations and initiate OOS, Deviations, ECOs.
  19. Train other employees as needed.
  20. Perform other duties as assigned.
Other Requirements
  • Work in a tobacco-free environment if applicable.
  • Walk, lift up to 25 lbs, wear PPE, differentiate colors, analyze data.
  • Read control screens and detect alarms.
  • Stand, sit, reach, push, and pull throughout shifts.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science or similar required.
  • Knowledge in biology/chemistry, good documentation skills, and ability to follow SOPs.
  • Self-starter, organized, able to work under pressure, and independently or in teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; GMP document experience a plus.
