Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Lab Processor for an on-site contract-to-hire role in Austin, TX. You will receive and handle lab samples, ensure they are safe and properly stored, label specimens, and support multiple departments including medical, Chemistry, Microbiology, and Cytology.

The job requires standing for the shift and lifting up to 50 pounds. Applicants should have 1+ years of experience with lab environments or machinery and be comfortable handling medical samples.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience working with machinery or in a lab environment.
• Comfortable handling medical samples and other bodily samples.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Receive and handle lab samples.
• Ensure samples are not damaged or leaking.
• Place samples in the correct area of the fridge.
• Label samples accurately.
• Handle various specimens including urine, blood, and stool.
• Support multiple departments including medical, Chemistry, Microbiology, and Cytology.
• Stand and work on your feet throughout the shift.
