Job summary

Heritage Valley Beaver is seeking a Laboratory Processing Technician II to perform EKGs and collect specimens within the scope of training, including legal specimen collection. Qualifications

• Four year high school graduate or GED equivalent with phlebotomy or Medical Assistant Training.
• Successful completion of Acts 73 and/or 169 clearances within 90 days of commencing employment, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform EKGs.
• Collect specimens within scope of training including legal specimen collection.
• Prepare all specimen types.
• Assist with patient registration, laboratory report distribution and other clerical duties.
• Manage and troubleshoot the pre-analytical automation as assigned.
• Provide training and orientation for internal employees and external customers.
• Promote and maintain a professional manner in all situations.
