Job summary

Heritage Valley Beaver in Beaver, PA is seeking a Laboratory Processing Technician II to support the Laboratory services during primarily evening shifts. You will perform EKGs, collect specimens within your training, and prepare all specimen types for processing.

You will handle accessioning, centrifuging, aliquoting, packing for courier, and assist with registration and report distribution. Training and orientation may be provided for staff and external customers; maintain professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Four year high school graduate or GED equivalent with phlebotomy or Medical Assistant Training and ACT 169 clearance.
• Ability to perform EKGs and collect specimens within training scope.

Responsibilities

• Perform EKGs and collect specimens per training scope.
• Prepare specimens for processing including accessioning, centrifuging and packing for courier.
• Assist with patient registration, lab report distribution and related clerical duties.
• Provide training/orientation for internal staff and external customers.
