Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
  • 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary sampling.

  • Explain procedures to patients to create a comfortable and trusting environment.
  • Verify patient demographics and ensure proper labeling of specimens with initials and signatures post-venipuncture.
  • Prepare specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring integrity and accuracy in processing.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of blood draws and patient interactions.
  • Adhere to safety standards and maintain a professional, clean environment.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to cover multiple locations and varied hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while demonstrating leadership behaviors and process excellence.
  • Uphold confidentiality and accuracy of patient information in all interactions and documentation.

  • Keyboard and data entry experience.
