You will oversee daily lab and research support activities, supervise technicians, maintain equipment, ensure safety and compliance, coordinate scheduling, and support budgeting with the NYCST leadership team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor1s Degree with 2-4 years experience in laboratory settings.
• Ability to advocate for individuals from a broad range of backgrounds.
• Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee daily operations of laboratory and research support areas to ensure efficient workflow and effective support of research and technical activities.
• Supervise and organize the work of research support technicians and manage day-to-day functioning of laboratory spaces to ensure safety, efficiency, and alignment with program priorities.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and technical infrastructure; oversee maintenance, repairs, and improvements to enhance operational efficiency and research capability.
• Maintain quality control documentation, equipment records, and logs to ensure compliance with standards and institutional requirements.
• Collaborate with internal and external users to coordinate scheduling, equipment set-ups, and operational requirements; facilitate training and orientation for laboratory users.
