Job summary

Legend Biotech is seeking a Lab Support Specialist to assist daily laboratory operations in a fast-paced R&D setting. You will manage samples, equipment, records, inventory, and supplies while supporting scientists and staff with testing activities.

The role requires attention to SOPs, safety, regulatory adherence, and precise documentation to maintain an audit-ready lab environment. On-site at Somerset, NJ with strong teamwork and communication skills a must.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in biology, Chemistry, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field preferred.
• Previous laboratory or healthcare experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures and safety practices.
• Familiarity with LIMS and Microsoft Office preferred.
• Ability to follow SOPs and safety regulations.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation accuracy.
• Ability to follow SOPs, safety regulations, EHS guidelines, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Receive, process, track, and document samples in LIMS.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, reagents, software, IT systems, and LIMS readiness.
• Manage supplies, reagents, chemicals, ordering, and supply forecasting.
• Support SOP compliance, audit readiness, EHS standards, and waste management.
• Coordinate with Biosample Management, warehouse teams, scientists, and lab staff.
• Support sample receipt, labeling, logging, processing, testing setup, chain of custody/identity, and LIMS documentation.
