Job summary

Equillium, Inc. is seeking a Lab Operations Associate to provide hands-on operational support for the research laboratory. You will calibrate and maintain equipment, manage stock, organize workspaces, and coordinate shipments to keep scientists focused on experiments.

You will collaborate with Facilities, Procurement, and Finance, maintain accurate records, and help onboard new staff. The role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and clear communication in a fast-moving biotech

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific field or related experience.
• 3–5 years supporting research or biotech lab environments.
• Experience coordinating calibration, maintenance, or certification schedules.
• Experience with shipping/receiving laboratory materials.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and purchasing/inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Own calibration and maintenance program for lab equipment.
• Maintain stock of consumables and supplies.
• Place and track orders; monitor deliveries.
• Coordinate shipping/receiving and documentation.
• Maintain labs spaces clean and organized.
• Serve as liaison with vendors, Facilities, Procurement, Finance.
• Support safety logs and incident escalation.
• Assist with onboarding and access requests.
• Maintain logs and procedures for readiness.
