Rutgers University, located in New Brunswick, NJ, is seeking a Laboratory Support Specialist for the Electrical & Computer Engineering department. The role reports to the Department Chair and involves maintaining lab inventory, assisting with equipment purchasing, and coordinating safety and lab setup tasks.

The position is full-time, on-site, with a 40-hour work week and day shift. Salary ranges $30–$35 per hour, with comprehensive benefits and temporary hourly appointment.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with two years of relevant experience or equivalent
• Knowledge of standard lab equipment and safety practices
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Responsabilidades

• Maintains department electronic components and capstone inventory.
• Assists with instructional equipment purchasing and installation.
• Completes chemical inventory and training compliance.
• Supports REHS safety audits and equipment audits.
• Arranges safety training for students and faculty.
• Assists new faculty with lab setups.
• Manages key requests and swipe access.
• Completes space surveys and equipment audit reports.
• Enters obsolete equipment for surplus removal.
• Supports faculty and students' technical needs.
• Coordinates departmental exhibits and events.
• Performs other duties as required.
