Job summary

Crete Analytical Laboratory in Crete, IL, is seeking an Operations Supervisor, Chemistry to lead routine analyses of food samples and supervise lab personnel.

You will ensure compliance with SOPs, manage scheduling, and coordinate with client services while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires a bachelor's or master's in microbiology/chemistry, 2-5 years of relevant experience, and strong knowledge of LIMS and laboratory safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years of relevant work experience or Masters degree.
• Broad knowledge of microbiology or chemistry to analyze and interpret data.
• General knowledge of food science to supervise the analysis of the sample.

Responsibilities

• Supervise departmental personnel to ensure SOP-compliant operations.
• Read, calculate, and record analysis data to produce client reports.
• Maintain supplies and instrumentation for operating departments.
• Communicate client requirements and procedural difficulties as needed.
• Administer HR programs including recruitment, training and development.
• Maintain knowledge of LIMS and ensure staff training on the system.
