Job summary

Mérieux NutriSciences in Crete, IL is seeking an Operations Supervisor, Chemistry to lead a laboratory team in routine food analysis. You will oversee personnel, ensure SOP compliance, and coordinate client communications while maintaining data accuracy and timely reporting.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 2–5 years of relevant experience, knowledge of microbiology/chemistry, and strong LIMS proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2–5 years of relevant work experience or Master’s degree.
• Broad knowledge of microbiology or chemistry as part of education or experience.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and policies is required.
• General knowledge of LIMS to process client data and record results.

Responsibilities

• Supervise departmental personnel to ensure adherence to SOPs and tasks.
• Communicate client requirements and procedural difficulties to laboratory staff.
• Read, calculate and record analysis data to produce client reports.
• Manage scheduling, training and development of staff in the lab.
• Maintain supplies and instrumentation for the department.
