Verano Holdings Corp. is seeking a Manager, Lab in Chester, PA to oversee extraction and refinement of cannabis products within the Analytical Lab. You will lead benchwork, manage staff, and ensure QA/QC compliance while coordinating lab operations and purchasing.

The role requires a biology/chemistry degree and 2+ years of supervisory experience in a regulated setting, plus expertise with HPLC and Gas Chromatography. Competitive starting salary begins at $65,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or similar field.
• 2+ years of management/supervisory experience in a regulated field with health and safety policies.
• Expert in use of HPLC, Gas Chromatography, and similar equipment.
• Strong mathematical and technical abilities.
• Detail Oriented
• Must be 21 years of age or older and able to register with the state’s cannabis commission as an agent.
• Must be able to comply with all laws, regulations, and policies associated with the industry.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all processes in extraction and refinement of cannabis.
• Benchwork delegation and prioritization: Filtration; Activation; Rotovape, etc.
• Research and development – record data, refine products, and improve processes.
• Ensure QA/QC methods are being followed.
• Review lab supply inventory and submit order requests.
• Coordinate operations and schedules of personnel.
• Interview, hire, and train lab staff.
• Supervise the mixing of oils to ensure proper ratios are used.
• Review and verify calculations of Chemists and additional lab staff.
• Initiate, coordinate, and enforce operational policies and procedures.
• Create and deliver weekly reports on key performance metrics.
• Implement and maintain appropriate quality control processes and procedures.
