Job summary

Pace Analytical Services, LLC is seeking a Lab Supervisor to lead and oversee lab, field and testing policies and programs. The role requires professional and technical knowledge to guide employees and management in environmental, biological and chemical testing areas.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, ensuring test accuracy, coordinating resources, and providing insightful analysis to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or a closely related field; AND five (5) years of lab, services, field or testing experience, including complex programs or operations; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Two (2) years of team leadership is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• supervises staff including hiring, training, evaluating performance, providing compensation recommendations, and performance management.
• oversees and supervises broad areas of operations, such as testing, scheduling, inventories, services, coordination of lab, services, and field.
• provides research, feedback and decisions to resolve management and employee questions and requirements; coordinates resources and responses as required.
• ensures the accuracy of tests and operational databases, reports, and related details through audits and reviews; works with teams to resolve discrepancies.
• oversees or reviews and processes broad degrees of tests, forms, documents, databases, and related materials.
• interprets and counsels staff and leadership on lab policies, programs and practices; leads implementation and change.
• analyzes operations and presents results, proposals and recommendations to management.
