Job summary

Lilly Technology Center in Indianapolis and Lebanon, Indiana, seeks a Lab Manager, Synthesis, to lead day-to-day operations of the synthesis labs at the Lilly Medicine Foundry. You will ensure readiness for process development, scale-up, and tech transfer while partnering with scientists and support teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or biology or related scientific discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, chemical, biotechnology, or process development laboratories.
• Demonstrated experience managing laboratory operations in a regulated environment.
• authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Ability to work in a laboratory environment with safe handling of chemicals and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily administrative operations of process and synthesis laboratories, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant execution.
• Champion safety culture and ensure compliance with requirements, audits, and 5S/ALCOA practices.
• Oversee laboratory equipment lifecycle, calibration, maintenance, and inventory management.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to forecast labor and equipment needs and drive improvements.
