Job summary

Alexandria LaunchLabs in New York City seeks a Lab Operations Associate to support laboratory and site operations. You will help manage Alexandria-owned equipment, assist tenants, and ensure supplies are stocked and accessible for daily functions.

You will also handle waste management, support the safety program, and coordinate with vendors and staff to keep facilities running smoothly while promoting a collaborative ecosystem through events and programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a science-related organization or laboratory space.
• Strong customer service mindset and verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to be detail-oriented, organized, and to work independently.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize tasks.
• Interest in life science and/or laboratory operations management.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day lab equipment and site operations for Alexandria LaunchLabs in NYC.
• Train and assist tenants on use of shared lab equipment.
• Order, maintain, and stock lab supplies and lab gases.
• Manage chemical and biohazard waste per regulatory guidance.
• Support LaunchLabs lab safety program and related activities.
• Assist with general site ops, IT/AV troubleshooting, and facilities requests.
• Interface with vendor teams for operational tasks and maintenance.
• Coordinate events to foster a vibrant LaunchLabs community.
