Job summary

Raytheon San Diego site seeks a Senior Lab & Operations Supervisor to own the day-to-day health of labs and production areas—safety, compliance, property, equipment, facilities, and 5S. You will partner with Cell Leaders to manage programs and develop into a Cell Leader as you grow.

You will sign area checklists, conduct safety audits, manage hazmat, metrology, PM, and calibration, oversee asset and inventory control, 5S projects, and coordinate repairs, badge access, and export-control

Qualifications

• Typically requires university degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience.
• Experience working in a manufacturing, repair depot, or engineering lab environment.
• Experience with safety, compliance, or facilities-related processes (e.g., checklists, audits, inventory control).

Responsibilities

• Sign daily, weekly, and monthly area checklists (FOD, hazardous waste, safety).
• Conduct safety walkthroughs and audits; maintain PPE compliance and update JHAs.
• Manage hazmat inventory and expirations; coordinate hazmat disposal.
• Oversee property and metrology management for assets; ensure standards compliance.
• Manage preventive maintenance and calibration schedules; coordinate with Cell Leaders.
• Lead 5S audits and improvement projects; implement rack/workstation moves and lighting upgrades.
• Coordinate facilities, lab compliance, and equipment projects; process repair/installation requests.
• Provide equipment status reporting and support audit readiness.
• Manage consumables inventory and reorder; manage scrap material bins.
• Oversee lab and badge access; escort visitors.
