Job summary

DiaSorin in Austin, TX is seeking a Laboratory Operations Supervisor to lead R&D laboratories, ensure safety and compliance, and drive equipment maintenance, inventory control, and vendor coordination. You will train staff, manage budgets, write SOPs, and partner with Quality Affairs, Manufacturing, and Facilities to optimize workflows and regulatory readiness.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in science or technical field with at least 5 years of related experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in life science, engineering, or related field with at least 3 years of related experience.
• Experience in GLP/GMP laboratory documentation and validation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day laboratory operations for assay development and BSL-II laboratories, establishing priorities and ensuring laboratories are maintained for safe, efficient, and compliant operations.
• Lead laboratory equipment lifecycle activities, including qualification, calibration, verification, preventive maintenance, repair, relocation, and retirement; troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate vendor services as needed.
• Maintain accurate and compliant documentation for laboratory equipment and activities, including calibration, verification, qualification, maintenance, and related quality records.
• Own laboratory purchasing and material-management processes, including common laboratory materials and reagent supplies, Purchase Requisitions/Purchase Orders, receiving, stocking, and organization of laboratory supplies.
• Maintain laboratory inventory and tracking systems to ensure traceability and availability of equipment, materials, and biological resources.
