Job summary

Bio-Techne is seeking a dedicated R&D Lab Manager to maintain reagent inventories, oversee equipment, and ensure a safe, efficient laboratory environment. You will coordinate with R&D, EH&S, and other departments to support high-quality operations and continuous improvements.

The role requires a BS in molecular biology or related field with 5+ years of industry experience (MS with 2+ years preferred) and experience working within a quality system.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a BS in molecular biology, cell biology, life sciences, or related field.
• BS with 5+ years industry experience, or MS with 2+ years industry experience preferred.
• Experience working within a quality system.
• Experience documenting experiments in ELNs, LIMS, or similar systems.
• Experience with microscopy, tissue analysis, and data interpretation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain laboratory equipment, including upkeep, service coordination, troubleshooting, and documentation.
• Maintain inventories of reagents, consumables, and lab supplies.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and well-organized lab environment with proper housekeeping.
• Coordinate waste disposal and space management.
• Collaborate with R&D to address operational needs and drive improvements.
• Identify risks and implement practical process improvements.
• Coordinate onboarding and training for new personnel; ensure procedures are followed.
• Partner with R&D leadership, EH&S, and cross-functional teams for compliant operations.
• Execute responsibilities independently with accountability and sound judgment.
• Support the Company's Quality System objectives.
