South County Health is seeking a Lead Laboratory Assistant and Phlebotomist at South County Hospital in Wakefield, RI. This is a full-time day position with on-call rotation and holiday coverage.

Bi-weekly hours total 80, and the role supports high-quality patient-centered care close to home. The candidate will perform phlebotomy across age groups, register patients in the Laboratory Information System, and process specimens and reference tests in a timely manner while assisting with lab

Qualifications

• Graduation from a Phlebotomy school with a clinical internship.
• Minimum two years of phlebotomy experience.
• Experience with LIS and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy on patients of all ages with accuracy.
• Register patients and process lab specimens using the LIS.
• Process reference lab testing accurately and timely.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the lab location and mentor trainees.
